Terms and Conditions
Last updated: September 17, 2026
These terms are written in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email support@thetutoringpros.com and we will explain it before you commit to anything.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Tutoring Pros ("we," "us," or "our") provides online Math and SAT Math tutoring. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Tutoring Pros whenever you use our website, create an account, reserve a seat in a class, take the free diagnostic, or pay for any service.
By creating an account, reserving a class seat, or making a payment, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or our services.

2. Who can use the service
- A parent or guardian may create an account and pay for a student's tutoring. In that case the parent or guardian is the "customer" and is responsible for the account, payments, and conduct of the student.
- A student aged 18 or older may create their own account and is responsible for it directly.
- A student under 18 may use the service with the permission of a parent or guardian, and that adult remains responsible for payments and conduct.
- One account can be linked to more than one student, and one student can be linked to more than one guardian.
3. The services we offer
Our current services and prices are:
- Free Live SAT Math Class, every Wednesday at 7:00 PM Eastern Time, 60 minutes, open to anyone at no cost.
- SAT Math Accelerator, a membership at $99 per month, including the 90 minute Saturday class at 11:00 AM Eastern Time, homework after every class, due date reminders, and the 50 point guarantee described in section 12.
- One on one Math tutoring, $80 per hour, or a 10 hour bundle for $640 (20% off).
- SAT Math Bootcamp, a 6 week program of 12 one on one sessions with unlimited group class access, offered at the price shown when you purchase it.
4. The free Wednesday class
The Wednesday class is free and no card is required to reserve a seat. Reserving a seat is not a promise of a place: classes run with limited capacity, and we may close registration when a class is full. The class is a genuine sample of our teaching, not a sales presentation, and attending it creates no obligation to buy anything.
The class is delivered online through Google Meet. You need a working email address, a device with a browser, and an internet connection. Cameras and microphones can be used however you prefer, and students are never required to appear on camera.

5. SAT Math Accelerator membership
The Accelerator is a recurring monthly membership billed through Stripe. It starts when you check out and renews on the same date each month until it is cancelled.
- You can cancel at any time from your account, or by asking us. A cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Cancelling does not refund the current month.
- Membership gives access to member features for as long as it is active. Access ends when the membership lapses or is cancelled.
- If a payment fails, we will try to reach you before access is paused. Access can be restored by updating your payment method.
6. Credits, one on one sessions and expiry
When you buy a one on one package, hours are added to your account as credits and you book sessions against them.
- Credits have a use by date that depends on the package: single hours must be booked within 2 weeks, and 10 hour bundles must be used within 3 months. The date that applies to your credits is shown at checkout and in your account.
- We send a reminder before credits expire. Credits that reach their expiry date are forfeited and are not converted back into money.
- If we extend an expiry date for a specific student, that extension applies only to that student and is not a general policy.
7. Booking, rescheduling and attendance
Sessions are booked online from the times available in your portal. Once booked, you receive a Google Meet link by email and in your account.
- Please join a few minutes early. Late arrivals are welcome for the remaining time, but a session that is missed entirely is treated as a no show.
- A tutor or a class start time can occasionally change because of illness or a scheduling conflict. If we change something, we tell you as soon as we know and offer a fair alternative.
- Repeated no shows can lead to a request that you pause bookings so the time can go to another family.
8. Cancellations and credit reimbursement
The rule is simple and it is the same for every family:
- Cancel a booked one on one session more than 24 hours before it starts and the hour is returned to your credit balance.
- Cancel within 24 hours of the start time and the hour is not returned.
- Do not attend and the hour is not returned.
9. Payments, refunds and taxes
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Charges appear on your statement as Tutoring Pros or the payment processor's name.
- Sales tax is added only where we are required to collect it.
- Amounts already paid for classes delivered, memberships in progress, or credits that were used are not refundable.
- If we make a billing mistake, or a service you paid for genuinely could not be delivered, we make it right, either with a credit or a refund. Email us and we will look at it fairly.
10. Promotional and discounted offers
From time to time we run offers, such as a discounted first month or a rate held for the first group of students. Offers apply only to the purchase they were issued for, cannot be combined with another offer unless we say so, and do not change the regular price that applies when the offer period ends. A discounted first month means the regular price applies from the second month onward.
11. The 50 point SAT Math guarantee
This is a promise with clear conditions, so both sides know exactly where they stand.
What we promise: your SAT Math score rises by at least 50 points.
What you must do: stay an active member for 2 months, attend every Wednesday class, attend every Saturday Accelerator class, and complete every assigned homework task on time.
How it is measured: your baseline is your last official SAT or PSAT score before joining, and your result is the next official SAT Math score you sit after meeting the conditions above. Practice tests and diagnostics do not count for the guarantee.
What you get if it does not happen: your next 2 months are free, with full access to both weekly classes and homework while you keep working. This is the remedy for the guarantee, and it is the only remedy under it.

12. Homework, materials and member features
Homework, due date reminders, graded results, lesson recordings and the practice library are part of the paid Accelerator membership, not the free class. Our worksheets, question sets, slides, videos and recordings are for your own study. You may not resell, republish, share publicly, or use them to run your own tutoring business.
13. Recordings of sessions
Some sessions and classes are recorded so students can review them later. If a session is recorded, we tell you, and the recording is kept inside our platform for enrolled students rather than published publicly. If you do not want your session recorded, tell us and we will not record it.
14. Acceptable use and conduct
You agree to use the service honestly and respectfully. In particular, you will not:
- Impersonate anyone, share an account with people outside your household, or create fake accounts.
- Abuse, harass, or threaten a tutor or staff member. We end sessions like this without a refund.
- Try to break, scan, or gain access to parts of the platform you are not meant to use, or upload malicious code.
- Use the platform to send spam or to post unlawful, hateful, or harmful content.
- Record, screenshot, or share another student's work or camera feed without permission.
15. Email and text messages
We send messages that are part of the service: confirmations, class reminders, homework notices, and graded results. We may also send occasional offers. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or asking us. Opting out of marketing messages does not stop the reminders and confirmations that your bookings depend on. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
16. Third party services
Our service depends on others: Stripe for payments, Google for Meet, calendar and email, Twilio for text messages and phone verification, and Desmos for the graphing calculator. They have their own terms and privacy policies, and your use of them is also governed by those. We are not responsible for outages or changes made by these providers, but we will always tell you when something affects a class you are booked into.
17. No guarantee of other results
Apart from the 50 point guarantee in section 11, we cannot promise specific grades, scores, college admissions, or test outcomes. Results depend on the student's own work, attendance, and circumstances. Our materials and tutoring are educational support. They are not medical, psychological, or therapeutic services, and they are not a substitute for professional assessment or treatment. If a student has learning needs that require a specific plan or accommodation, tell us and we will be honest about whether we are the right fit.
18. Our liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or special losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes that affect a service you are paying for, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, you may cancel any membership or stop using the service.
20. Closing an account
You can stop using the service at any time. You can ask us to close your account, and we will do it, subject to any records we must keep for legal, tax, or accounting reasons. Closing an account does not erase amounts already owed. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, and we will explain why when we can.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Florida, except where your local consumer law gives you a stronger right to bring a claim where you live. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us. Most problems are solved in a single email.
22. Contact us
